Now more than ever, especially given the disruption and strain caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, we must support agents as they are a crucial interface between communities and those trying to provide relief during this crisis. As cashless payments gain adoption, and governments look to channel relief distribution through mobile money, we must step up to help agents better manage their liquidity and maintain their livelihoods while minimizing risks to their health. At Opareta, our aim is to enable as many CICO (mobile money) agents as possible to generate more income while providing an essential, inclusive service in a sustainable manner. This will, in turn, ensure that all people in emerging markets have access to financial products and services wherever and whenever they need them.
